Every August and September, the world’s greatest tennis players converge on New York for the US Open — two weeks when the city transforms into the global capital of the sport. In 2026, the tournament runs from Fan Week on Sunday, August 23 through the final on Sunday, September 13 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, Queens.

Most guests make the journey via the Long Island Rail Road, subway, or car service. Only a select few make it by private yacht.

The Dream Boat NY US Open Charter is an exclusive private cruise for 2–6 guests departing Chelsea Piers, heading south through New York Harbor and east through the East River past the city’s most iconic bridges, through Hell Gate, and into Flushing Bay — where guests disembark at the Williamsburgh Yacht Club. From here, the Arthur Ashe Stadium is a short car service ride away.

Three packages are available: a one-hour express, a 1.5-hour express route with the Statue of Liberty, and a two-hour leisure cruise. Every charter is completely private — no other passengers, no strangers, no compromises.

2026 US Open — Tournament Dates & Season

The 2026 US Open tennis tournament is scheduled for Sunday, August 23 through Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, New York. Fan Week precedes the main draw, beginning August 23, making the full tournament window nearly three weeks of world-class tennis in New York City.

This is one of the most electric stretches of the New York summer — and one of the busiest periods on the private charter calendar. US Open dates book quickly. Reserving early is strongly recommended.

The Full Route
Chelsea Piers to Flushing Bay

For those who want to picture the complete journey before booking:

Departure: Pier 59, Chelsea Piers, Manhattan’s west side. Access to the dock opens five minutes before the scheduled charter time.

South on the Hudson. The yacht heads south with unobstructed views of western Manhattan — the Meatpacking District, Greenwich Village waterfront, and Lower Manhattan’s skyline building ahead. One World Trade Center, Battery Park, and the southern tip of the island come into view as the harbor opens.

New York Harbor. Depending on the package, the yacht enters the harbor for Statue of Liberty viewing. Lady Liberty is seen up close from multiple angles — not a passing glimpse from a crowded ferry deck, but a private approach at your group’s pace, with captain narration filling in a century of history.

Into the East River. The route rounds the Financial District and turns north up the East River. The bridge sequence begins: the Brooklyn Bridge first — its stone towers and steel cables seen from the water the way engineers and immigrants first encountered them. Then the Manhattan Bridge. Then the Williamsburg Bridge, connecting the Lower East Side and Williamsburg neighborhoods.

Hell Gate. The East River narrows into Hell Gate — the tidal strait between Queens and Randalls Island where the East River meets the Long Island Sound. Powerful currents, dramatic surroundings, and one of the most notorious navigational names in New York.

Flushing Bay. The final stretch opens into Flushing Bay and the Williamsburgh Yacht Club. Car service to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center is arranged independently.
