There’s seeing a Mets game, and then there’s arriving to a Mets game by private yacht. Depart from Chelsea Piers on Manhattan’s west side, cruise the Hudson River, round the southern tip of Manhattan into New York Harbor, head north up the East River beneath the bridges, and dock at Flushing Bay’s Williamsburgh Yacht Club — minutes from Citi Field. Three charter options are available for every schedule and every group.
All charters are fully private — your group of 2 to 6 guests, no other passengers, no strangers — with a professional USCG-certified captain, the outdoor teak deck, the wood-paneled interior cabin lounge, and complete docking fees at both Chelsea Piers and the Williamsburgh Yacht Club included.
Three Mets Charter Options
All three charters cover the same essential route from Manhattan to Flushing Bay. Choose by duration and the experience you want on the water.
1-Hour Express — $1,150
The most direct route from Manhattan to Flushing Bay. Depart Chelsea Piers and head south down the Hudson River, wrapping around the southern tip of Manhattan and the Financial District before turning north up the East River. The route passes beneath the Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, and Williamsburg Bridge, continues through Hell Gate, and arrives at Flushing Bay and the Williamsburgh Yacht Club.
What you’ll see:
- Hudson River and the western Manhattan skyline departing Chelsea Piers
- Lower Manhattan and the Financial District from the water — One World Trade Center, Battery Park, the southern tip of the island
- The Brooklyn Bridge up close — one of the world’s most photographed structures, seen from the water as intended
- Manhattan Bridge, Williamsburg Bridge, and the evolving Brooklyn and Queens waterfront
- Hell Gate, the tidal strait connecting the East River and Long Island Sound
- Flushing Bay arrival at the Williamsburgh Yacht Club
Duration: 1 hour
Price: $1,150 (includes docking fees at both Chelsea Piers and Williamsburgh Yacht Club)
Best for: Groups who want to arrive efficiently, corporate guests with tight schedules, those focused on getting to the game.
1.5-Hour Express + Statue of Liberty — $1,350
All the sights of the Express Charter plus close-ups with the Statue of Liberty and views of Ellis Island and Governors Island.
Depart Chelsea Piers and head south down the Hudson River to the heart of New York Harbor with Lady Liberty for close-ups from multiple angles — not a passing glimpse from a crowded ferry deck, but a private approach at your group’s pace, with captain narration filling in a century of history. The route then rounds the Financial District, turns north up the East River, and heads beneath the bridges, through Hell Gate, and into Flushing Bay.
What you’ll see, in order:
- Hudson River heading south with western Manhattan views
- Statue of Liberty — up-close viewing from multiple angles, with captain narration on history and symbolism
- Ellis Island and the middle of New York Harbor
- Lower Manhattan and the Financial District skyline from the harbor
- Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, and Williamsburg Bridge heading north up the East River
- Hell Gate
- Flushing Bay arrival at the Williamsburgh Yacht Club
Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours
Price: $1,350 (includes docking fees at both Chelsea Piers and Williamsburgh Yacht Club)
Best for: Visitors who want the quintessential New York Harbor experience before the game, anyone making it a full NYC celebration day, or groups who want a photo with the Statue of Liberty.
2-Hour Leisure Cruise — $1,675
The same sights as the Statue of Liberty route — Hudson River south, New York Harbor, Lady Liberty, the Financial District, the East River bridges, Hell Gate, Flushing Bay — at a more relaxed pace, with time to take it all in. The captain serves as your guide to the history of New York Harbor, the story of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, the architecture and engineering of the bridges, and the neighborhoods passing along each shore.
This is the charter for guests who want more than a commute to the Mets game. Ideal for brunch or champagne service on the water, conversation on the teak deck, and the kind of leisurely arrival that sets the right tone for a day at the ballpark.
What you’ll see:
- Hudson River and western Manhattan views heading south
- Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island — extended time, with the captain available for questions throughout
- New York Harbor and the Financial District panorama
- Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, and Williamsburg Bridge — with history and context along the way
- Hell Gate
- Flushing Bay arrival at the Williamsburgh Yacht Club
Duration: 2 hours
Price: $1,675 (includes docking fees at both Chelsea Piers and Williamsburgh Yacht Club)
Best for: Those who want the full on-water experience, groups celebrating a special occasion alongside the game, any visit where the journey is as important as the destination.
The Full Route — Manhattan Chelsea Piers to Flushing Bay
Departure: Pier 59, Chelsea Piers, Manhattan’s west side. Access to the dock opens five minutes before the scheduled charter time.
South on the Hudson. The yacht heads south with unobstructed views of western Manhattan — the Meatpacking District, Greenwich Village waterfront, and Lower Manhattan’s skyline building ahead. One World Trade Center, Battery Park, and the southern tip of the island come into view as the harbor opens up.
New York Harbor. Depending on the charter, the yacht enters the harbor for Statue of Liberty viewing — up close from multiple angles, with captain narration filling in over a century of history and immigration lore.
Into the East River. The route rounds the Financial District and turns north up the East River. The bridge sequence begins: the Brooklyn Bridge first — its stone towers and steel cables seen from the water the way engineers and immigrants first encountered them. Then the Manhattan Bridge. Then the Williamsburg Bridge.
Hell Gate. The East River narrows into Hell Gate — the tidal strait between Queens and Randalls Island where the East River meets the Long Island Sound. Powerful currents, dramatic surroundings, and one of the most notorious navigational names in New York.
Flushing Bay. The final stretch opens into Flushing Bay and the Williamsburgh Yacht Club. Car service to Citi Field is arranged independently.
