The last night of freedom deserves more than a bar. A private bachelor party boat in NYC gives the groom’s crew something none of the guests will ever forget — an exclusive yacht on the Hudson River, Manhattan skyline in every direction, drinks flowing, and zero strangers telling you to keep it down.

Dream Boat NY has hosted bachelor parties, groom’s dinners, and guys’ nights on the water for groups of 2 to 6. Intimate, private, and with a dedicated captain. This is not a tour group and you don’t risk bumping into someone else’s party at the bar. Just your crew and your city from the best possible angle.

The groom gets one last sendoff. Make it unforgettable.

Why a Private Yacht Is the Best Bachelor Party Idea in NYC

NYC offers a thousand ways to celebrate. Most of them involve elbowing for space or waiting at the bar or waiving down a server. A private bachelor party boat flips the script entirely.

From the moment your crew steps aboard at Chelsea Piers, the yacht belongs exclusively to your group. The captain and crew are entirely focused on making the experience exceptional. There are no other passengers, no shared decks, no strangers photobombing the groom’s photos. It is — genuinely — a private experience.

That matters for a bachelor party. You’re not just booking a night out. You’re creating the story the groomsmen tell at the wedding toast. The backdrop for that story is the Manhattan skyline, or the city lit up against the night sky, or gleaming in the afternoon sun over New York Harbor. Very few venues in this city can compete with that.

And practically speaking: a private yacht gives the group the freedom to celebrate exactly how they want. Connect your own playlist to the Bluetooth sound system. Pop champagne on the teak deck. Move between the outdoor lounge and the wood-paneled indoor cabin whenever you like. Have catering set up and waiting. Toast the groom against the backdrop of the Brooklyn Bridge. None of that requires a reservation at a venue that couldn’t care less about your bachelor party.

What’s Included in Your Bachelor Party Charter

Every Dream Boat NY charter includes all of the essentials. Here’s exactly what your group gets:

The Yacht — Exclusively Yours The entire vessel is reserved for your group only. No shared space. No other bookings at the same time. From Chelsea Piers departure to return, the yacht belongs to your crew.

Outdoor All-Teak Deck Step out onto the all-wood teak deck where the U-shaped seating configuration is designed for conversation and celebration. The layout gives you plenty of room without feeling cramped — ideal for a group that wants to actually talk, toast, and take in the views without fighting for a spot at the railing. This is NYC’s only convertible on the water, with a retractable canopy giving your crew the choice of full shade or full sun.

360-Degree Views — No Obstructions This classically designed convertible yacht is built for unobstructed views in every direction. No crowds, no columns, no craning your neck. Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, One World Trade Center, the Midtown skyline — all of it, all at once, from the water.

Indoor Wood-Paneled Cabin Lounge Move freely between the outdoor deck and the enclosed cabin — a wood-paneled interior with deep-cushioned white upholstery and additional table seating for six. The fully enclosed lounge is the perfect setting when the crew wants to sit down, have another round, and roast the groom properly. The cabin provides excellent protection from the elements.

Bluetooth Sound System Connect your own playlist. Your soundtrack for the night.

Modern Bathroom Onboard with personal cloth hand towels.

Professional USCG-Certified Captain They handle the navigation, the route, the timing — you handle the celebrating.

Complimentary Bottled Water Available for all guests throughout the charter.

All Chelsea Piers Docking, Boarding Fees & Fuel No surprise charges. Pricing is transparent and all-inclusive.

Choosing Your Bachelor Party Cruise

2-Hour Highlights Charter ($700–$850) The classic bachelor party charter. Depart Chelsea Piers, cruise past the Meatpacking District and Greenwich Village waterfront into New York Harbor, circle the Statue of Liberty, take in Ellis Island and the Financial District, then head back via the Hudson or East River depending on your crew’s preference. Packed with landmarks and photo opportunities. Ideal for groups keeping the night moving — aboard for two hours, back on land to continue the celebration.

3-Hour Comprehensive Charter ($1,200) More time, more options. Extend north along the Hudson past Chelsea and Hudson Yards, or head east to the Brooklyn Bridge and Brooklyn waterfront — Jane’s Carousel, Dumbo, the Williamsburg waterfront. The extra hour means the crew can fully settle in, enjoy a full catering spread, and explore more of what makes NYC’s waterways spectacular.

3.5-Hour Full Manhattan Circumnavigation ($1,400) The complete loop around Manhattan Island. Southern Harbor, up the East River past every major bridge (Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, Williamsburg, Queensboro), through the Harlem River Ship Canal — a rarely seen stretch of NYC waterway that passes Yankee Stadium and Harlem’s northern shoreline — then down the Hudson River as the sun sets or the city lights up. For the groom who’s seen NYC from the street his whole life and is ready to see all of it from the water.

4-Hour Extended Charter ($1,600) Maximum time on the water. Combine the full Manhattan circumnavigation with extended time at the Statue of Liberty, or add a dining component with a full catering setup, or time it to start at sunset and continue into the illuminated evening skyline. Four hours is the option for groups who want to make an entire event of it.

Booking Your NYC Bachelor Party Boat

Maximum 6 Passengers Per USCG federal licensing regulations, the maximum capacity is 6 passengers. The personal size is the point — this is a private yacht experience, not a party bus.

Booking & ID Requirements A valid government-issued photo ID (passport or US driver’s license) matching the credit card used for booking must be provided before boarding. No exceptions — no ID, no boarding.

Weather Policy If rain or weather conditions require the captain to postpone your charter, rescheduling is complimentary. Simply choose any available charter of equal or lesser value within the same calendar year. For added flexibility, select the Premium reservation option during booking.

Arrival & Departure Dock access opens five minutes before your charter start time. The vessel departs approximately five minutes past the scheduled time. The charter will not be refunded or rescheduled for late arrivals.

How many people can come on a bachelor party boat charter? The maximum is 6 passengers per USCG federal licensing regulations. The charter is exclusively for you and your party.

What’s the best duration for a bachelor party? Most groups choose the 2-hour or 3-hour charter. The 2-hour is ideal for a high-energy, focused celebration before continuing the night on land. The 3-hour gives everyone time to fully relax, enjoy a catering spread, and take in more of the waterway. Sunset timing is popular for both — the booking calendar shows exact departure times to catch golden hour.

Can we bring our own food and drinks? Guests may bring their own food and beverages for a flat BYO fee of $100. However, the Dream Boat NY catering packages are built specifically for the boat experience — everything is set up and ready when you board, nothing to carry, and the open bar options are well-suited to a bachelor celebration.

What catering is best for a bachelor party? The All-Inclusive Champagne & Appetizers package ($65/person) is the most popular for bachelor parties. For groups doing a daytime charter, the All-Inclusive Champagne Brunch or Lunch ($80/person) with a full open bar and food spread is the upgraded option.

The online booking calendar notes specific departure times that time your cruise to catch the sunset over the Hudson River. Summer sunset dates fill quickly — book ahead.

Is the charter really private? No other passengers? Completely private. The entire vessel is reserved exclusively for your group from the moment you board until you return to the dock. The captain and crew are focused entirely on your party.

Where do we depart from? Chelsea Piers Marina, Pier 59, New York, NY 10011. Easily accessible from Midtown, Downtown, and the West Village. Paid parking is available at the Chelsea Piers complex. Full directions and transit options can be viewed here.

What if it rains? If rain or weather requires the captain to postpone your charter, rescheduling is complimentary.

Is gratuity included in the price? Gratuity is not included. 18–22% is customary on a private yacht.

Are there any restrictions on what we can bring? Glass containers, red wine, hard coolers, smoking, vaping, open flames, and illegal substances are not permitted aboard. All other personal items are the responsibility of the passengers.
