Frequently Asked Questions

Before Your Boat Ride

Where is the boat docked?
Step aboard at Pier 59 in Manhattan. We are centrally located next to Chelsea Piers and an easy walk from major NYC landmarks including the High Line, Chelsea Market, and Little Island.

Uber/Lyft/Taxi directions: Ask your driver to drop you off at 59 Chelsea Piers, NY, NY 10011. Then click on this Google Maps link for walking directions to the boat marina entrance (you won’t be able to find us without it): https://goo.gl/maps/LHUo1cNDYwr9KNyT6

Parking: Valet parking is available at Pier 59. For GPS directions, use mailing address 59 Chelsea Piers, NY, NY 10011. The valet parking lot is next to the boat marina and directly in front of the Chelsea Piers Golf Club. After parking, exit the building and use the Google Maps link for walking directions to the boat.

What if the weather forecast calls for rain?
NYC is coastal, and conditions along the coast change constantly. If there’s a chance of rain, the captain will monitor the radar to avoid any rain pockets during your charter. If rain can’t be avoided, the captain will reschedule the charter. Please don’t worry too much about the forecast. Typically the weatherman gets the forecast wrong about half the time. Very rarely does it actually rain during a charter.

What is your cancellation policy?
If rain, weather conditions, or mechanical failure cause the charter to be postponed, we will reschedule with you. Refunds are not available.

What if I’m late?
The captain will wait for you but please keep in mind your charter must conclude on time so we can stay on schedule.

Do people get motion sickness on a small boat charter?
Very rarely, but it can happen. Our boat is steady at sea but sometimes the NY Harbor can get bumpy. If you suspect you might get motion sickness or have gotten motion sickness in the past, please take motion sickness medication prior to departure. Don’t let motion sickness spoil your New York yacht cruise.

During Your Cruise On A Boat

Will I see the Statue of Liberty?
Yes! Close-ups with Lady Liberty are part of your New York boat ride, with only one exception — the Fall Foliage Cruise has a specific destination north, up the Hudson River, to the Palisade Cliffs and Hudson Valley.

How many guests can I have onboard?
U.S. Coast Guard maximum occupancy is six (6) passengers. There’s plenty of room for more but the USCG is very strict; we cannot exceed six passengers. Children and infants are included in the six passenger count.

Are kids allowed?
Yes! We love kids (and their parents). NY State law requires kids 13 and under to wear a life jacket. Life jackets are available for all passengers including the littlest ones.

Are pets allowed?
Service animals are welcome, pets are not. Boating is not easy for furry friends and, if they fall in the water, they’re almost impossible to rescue from the harbor’s strong currents and tides.

What isn’t allowed onboard?
We have a short list of forbidden items: pets, illegal drugs, smoking, vaping, open flames, red wine, hard shell coolers, weapons and sharp objects, and other pirate accessories.

Can I play my own music onboard?
Yes, bring your playlist and connect to our Bluetooth speakers. Let your personal soundtrack accompany your private yatch experience.

Is there a bathroom onboard?
Yes, our comfortable lavatory includes personal cloth hand towels.

Do you have water onboard?
Yes, complimentary bottled water is provided to all guests.

Do you serve food and drinks?
Yes, champagne and dining by the Statue of Liberty is available. Our traditional yachting menu is available for brunch, lunch, and light dinner. Order in advance and step aboard with everything awaiting your arrival.

Can I bring my own food?
If our catering does not meet your dietary needs, please feel free to bring your own goodies. Alcohol must be purchased from our menu.

Can I bring my own decorations?
Decoration services are available and can be added to your charter during booking or through the online catering menu. Decorations that could potentially harm passengers, crew, environment, or the boat are not allowed.
